Our Story

About Us

ZenDen Coffee House is a cozy, community‑rooted gathering space in Homer, Alaska — a place built on connection, creativity, and the joy of good coffee shared slowly.

Owned and operated by husband‑and‑wife team Sierra and Tyler, ZenDen is shaped by our shared passion for specialty coffee, intentional craft, and creating experiences that feel warm, thoughtful, and genuinely high‑quality.

Our story began at the Homer Farmers Market, where we poured our first cups from a rustic wooden open‑air booth and learned the heartbeat of our community one conversation at a time. Those early days shaped everything we value now: warmth, craft, and creating a space where everyone feels welcome.

We’re flavor‑obsessed in the best way. Each month, we dream up rotating specialty drink specials that let us play, explore, and celebrate the seasons. Alongside our coffee, we blend real‑fruit smoothies that are vibrant, refreshing, and made without shortcuts.

ZenDen is also proudly connected to Fika Coffee Roasters, our sister brand. Fika’s Scandinavian‑inspired approach to roasting and intentional living influences our entire philosophy — two distinct brands, one shared love for quality and slow moments.

We partner with City Bear Bread, a beloved local bakery, to bring fresh pastries to our shelves each morning. In‑house, we craft our own chia puddings and our newest obsession: Belgian Liège waffles, warm, golden, and perfect for cozy mornings.

From farmers market beginnings to a full coffee house, ZenDen continues to grow while staying grounded in what matters most: good coffee, good people, and a space that feels like home.

Wherever you’re coming from, we hope you land here and feel held — with chaga chai warming your hands, fireweed fogs lifting your spirits, and lavender cookies reminding you that simple things can be magic.
